Benmaps

A map application built with React 19, TypeScript, MapLibre GL JS 6.9, and Clair hosted cartography. Commissioner is used for the interface and map labels. The interface uses Heroicons with matching semantic companion icons for transport and POI categories missing from that set. Open the printed URL using localhost, which must be permitted by your provider tokens. 127.0.0.1 is a different origin. Keys are browser-visible; use public tokens with the minimum required scopes and allowed domains. For a Protomaps v4 PMTiles archive, set VITE_PMTILES_URL instead of using the hosted Protomaps API. This source must permit CORS and HTTP Range requests. Clair's relief still uses the attributed Mapzen Terrarium elevation service. Benmaps is the open-source project benjamintd/benmaps.fr (https://github.com/benjamintd/benmaps.fr) by benjamintd, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit b3a1acc06e2e, adding only a manifest, an icon and a storage compatibility script.
