ClipBin is a Flask-based web application for storing and sharing code snippets, configuration fragments, and other plaintext securely. It supports authenticated workflows for teams while also allowing anonymous users to create temporary clips with password protection. - Dark theme interface for comfortable reading. - Anonymous and authenticated clip creation flows. - Optional password protection with end-to-end encryption. - Expiring links with configurable retention periods. - Custom aliases for easy-to-remember URLs. - File upload support for vetted text-based formats. - User dashboard with clip management and exports. - REST-style API endpoints for automation. - Python 3.10 or later - pip 22+ - (Optional) Virtual environment tooling such as venv or pipenv Sign-in: this app keeps its own accounts. Each member signs up or signs in inside the app with an app username and password; the hub remembers each member's session. The import did not test signing in (the page the session was checked on (http://clipbin.localhost:8213/) is shown to anyone, signed in or not: nothing to tell the session by). ClipBin is the open-source project alight659/ClipBin (https://github.com/alight659/ClipBin) by alight659, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit d798d932020d, adding only a manifest, an icon and a start script.
