About
The XZG Multi-Tool is a browser-based flashing solution that enables hobbyists and developers to program Texas Instruments, Silicon Labs, Espressif, Arduino and Telink devices. It provides a simple, polished web UI that enables users to flash adapters directly from the browser, eliminating the need for client software installation. The web front end performs local flashing via the WebSerial and WebUSB APIs, offering automatic device detection and convenient firmware flashing features. The bridge component (WebSocket ↔ TCP) enables headless or remote hosts to expose local serial ports via TCP and connect them to the web UI. The bridge also supports connecting to remote TCP-based adapters, enabling access to networked adapters from any browser. - 🔌 Work with various devices locally via WebSerial/WebUSB or remotely via bridge. - 📂 Flash firmware from a local file or select from a provided list. - 📝 List of cloud firmware with descriptions - 🦾 Automatically detects chip model, flash size, IEEE, and firmware version - 💾 Backup, restore, and erase NVRAM XZG Multi-tool is the open-source project xyzroe/XZG-MT (https://github.com/xyzroe/XZG-MT) by xyzroe, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit 5a4d81ebb04e, adding only a manifest, an icon and a storage compatibility script.

What version 0.3.6 may do
Internet
It asks to reach these hosts, and no others:
- my.home-assistant.io
- raw.githubusercontent.com
- cdn.jsdelivr.net
Other sites in its pages
Shows pages of these sites in its pages (opens at an address of its own):
You agree to each site on your Personal Cloud, and can remove any or add your own. They keep their own cookies and storage there; the app’s own requests still reach only the hosts it asks for above.
Devices you plug into your own computer
- Uses serial ports you choose in your browser (Web Serial): Talks to the serial ports you plug into your computer
High risk: a page can change a device’s settings or replace its firmware. Your browser shows its own chooser for each device, and the app gets only the ones you pick there, while its page is open. These are not the devices on your Personal Cloud’s computer. You choose whether it gets each kind; Chrome and Edge have them, Firefox, Safari and the iOS app do not.
Personal Cloud tools
- Keep a database of its own on your Personal Cloud ion.db
Notifications
It does not send push notifications.
Storage
Up to 16 MB on your Personal Cloud.
