About
A self-hosted home inventory app. Track what you own, where it lives, and when warranties expire — on your own server, with your data staying private. - Inventory tracking — record items with photos, receipts, manuals, and custom fields - Location hierarchy — organise by property, room, shelf, or container - Warranty tracking — manufacturer and extended warranties with expiry alerts - AI identification — identify items from photos and auto-fill details - QR label printing — print scannable labels for items and locations (NIIMBOT + CUPS) - Barcode lookup — scan a UPC to auto-populate item information - Google Drive backup — scheduled cloud backup of your database and uploads - Multi-user — admin, editor, and viewer roles; Google and OIDC SSO supported Then open http://localhost:8181 and log in with admin@nestarr.local / admin123. Sign-in: this app keeps its own accounts. Each member signs up or signs in inside the app with an app username and password; the hub remembers each member's session. The import did not test signing in (no sign-up form found to test the cookie jar with). Nestarr is the open-source project tokendad/Nestarr (https://github.com/tokendad/Nestarr) by tokendad, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit 9db5b0b1cd04, adding only a manifest, an icon and a start script.

Not rated. Nobody has said who this app is suitable for, so Personal Clouds and the Oikou app treat it as 18+.
What version 8.1.2 may do
Internet
It asks to reach these hosts, and no others:
- accounts.google.com
- aistudio.google.com
- console.cloud.google.com
- www.googleapis.com
Devices on your network
Can find the devices on your network (addresses, makers, names, open ports) on networks you choose: Finds the devices on your network and their open ports to map them
Asks to run on the network of your Personal Cloud’s computer itself, outside your Personal Cloud’s network controls (Personal Clouds on Linux).
Each scan needs your approval unless you allow it always, and it can reach a device it found only once you approve it.
Bluetooth
Can find the Bluetooth devices near your Personal Cloud’s computer (names, signal strength), which can tell whose phones and watches are around, connect to them and read them, and change their settings or send them commands: Finds the Bluetooth devices nearby, connects to them, reads their data and controls them
Asks for BlueZ in its container (Personal Clouds on Linux).
You choose the level on your Personal Cloud, and can give less. Each scan and each new connection needs your approval unless you allow it always, and it names devices by identifiers of its own unless you give it their real addresses.
USB and serial devices on your Personal Cloud’s computer
- Can talk to a serial port on your Personal Cloud’s computer that you choose (a printer, a board, a Zigbee stick): The serial device it talks to (a USB-serial cable or board) (serial)
You pick one device for each on your Personal Cloud, and can let it only read it. It gets that device alone, never the others plugged in; one it may write to is its to command.
Devices you plug into your own computer
- Uses serial ports you choose in your browser (Web Serial): Talks to the serial ports you plug into your computer
High risk: a page can change a device’s settings or replace its firmware. Your browser shows its own chooser for each device, and the app gets only the ones you pick there, while its page is open. These are not the devices on your Personal Cloud’s computer. You choose whether it gets each kind; Chrome and Edge have them, Firefox, Safari and the iOS app do not.
Personal Cloud tools
None. It uses nothing from your Personal Cloud beyond its own storage.
Notifications
It does not send push notifications.
Storage
Up to 512 MB on your Personal Cloud.
Its address
Works best with its own address. A Personal Cloud shared through Cloudflare can give it one; on a private Personal Cloud on Tailscale it opens under your Personal Cloud’s address, where it may not work fully. Private and shared Personal Clouds
Add to Personal Cloud
Sign in to add this web app to a Personal Cloud of yours. It runs there, on your own computer, and you open it from there; nothing is installed on your phone.
