Opencast Studio

A web-based recording studio for Opencast. Opencast Studio uses the recording capabilities built into modern browsers to record audio and video streams. The recording happens completely in the user's browser: no server is involved in that part. Network access is only needed to initially load the application and to (optionally) upload the videos to an Opencast instance. There are mainly three ways how to use Opencast Studio. Opencast Studio is the open-source project opencast/studio (https://github.com/opencast/studio) by opencast, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit 14b5c4b266c2, adding only a manifest, an icon and a storage compatibility script.

Your camera, microphone and screen

• Can use your camera while you have it open
• Can use your microphone while you have it open
• Can see a screen or window you choose to share

The app sees what your camera or the screen you share shows while its page is open. You choose which of these it gets, and your browser still asks you before each use.

Personal Cloud tools

• Keep a database of its own on your Personal Cloud ion.db

It does not send push notifications.

Storage

Up to 256 MB on your Personal Cloud.
