Floaty

- Position Based Dynamics (PBD) and Position Based Fluids (PBF) is used for simulating soft bodies and fluid. - For two-way coupling of soft body and fluid simulation, a method described in Unified Particle Physics for Real-Time Applications is used. - Buoyancy is naturally simulated thanks to this paper. - The simulation is accelerated with multithreading using wasm-bindgen-rayon. If you have trouble running the repo, feel free to open an issue. ## Demo video ## Overview of the simulation ### Soft bodies Soft bodies are simulated using distance constraint and area constraint. Distance constraints limit adjacent particles of each soft body from moving too far apart or too close together. And area constraints limit the movement of particles so that soft bodies do not collapse. Floaty is the open-source project matsuoka-601/Floaty (https://github.com/matsuoka-601/Floaty) by matsuoka-601, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit 898cbcbbee51, adding only a manifest, an icon and a storage compatibility script.

Not rated. Nobody has said who this app is suitable for, so Personal Clouds and the Oikou app treat it as 18+.

Internet

It asks to reach these hosts, and no others:

• cdnjs.cloudflare.com

Personal Cloud tools

None. It uses nothing from your Personal Cloud beyond its own storage.

Notifications

It does not send push notifications.

Isolated pages

Runs its pages isolated (shared memory). Its pages get shared memory and precise timers, and load files from other sites only when those sites allow it.

Storage

Up to 16 MB on your Personal Cloud.
