Eddrit

- Lightweight, with no ads - Compact design inspired by old.reddit.com rather than the redesign - Mobile-friendly - No OAuth2 registration needed for self-hosting: mimics the official Android app by default to bypass rate-limiting - Basic RSS support for subreddits and posts: fetches the original feed from Reddit and rewrites URLs to point to the current eddrit instance URLs follow the same structure as Reddit, so you can simply replace reddit.com with eddrit.com to open any page in eddrit. If you wish to support the app, donations are possible on GitHub Sponsors or here. Eddrit is the open-source project corenting/eddrit (https://github.com/corenting/eddrit) by corenting, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit df1bcc3cb381, adding only a manifest, an icon and a start script.

Not rated. Nobody has said who this app is suitable for, so Personal Clouds and the Oikou app treat it as 18+.

Internet

It asks to reach these hosts, and no others:

• emoji.redditmedia.com
• any address under reddit.com
• any address under redd.it

Personal Cloud tools

• Run a Redis server of its own on your Personal Cloud (for its task queue and cache) ion.redis

Notifications

It does not send push notifications.

Storage

Up to 1 GB on your Personal Cloud.

Its address

Works best with its own address. A Personal Cloud shared through Cloudflare can give it one; on a private Personal Cloud on Tailscale it opens under your Personal Cloud’s address, where it may not work fully. Private and shared Personal Clouds
