BookStack

A platform for storing and organising information and documentation. Details for BookStack can be found on the official website at https://www.bookstackapp.com/. BookStack is an opinionated documentation platform that provides a pleasant and simple out-of-the-box experience. New users to an instance should find the experience intuitive and only basic word-processing skills should be required to get involved in creating content on BookStack. The platform should provide advanced power features to those that desire it, but they should not interfere with the core simple user experience. BookStack is not designed as an extensible platform to be used for purposes that differ from the statement above. Sign-in: this app keeps its own accounts. Each member signs up or signs in inside the app with an app username and password; the hub remembers each member's session. BookStack is the open-source project BookStackApp/BookStack (https://github.com/BookStackApp/BookStack) by BookStackApp, released under MIT. Ion packages it unmodified from commit f585a7d9100a, adding only a manifest, an icon and a start script.

Not rated. Nobody has said who this app is suitable for, so Personal Clouds and the Oikou app treat it as 18+.

Internet

It asks to reach nothing on the internet.

While your Personal Cloud builds it, the build asks to download from:

• registry.npmjs.org
• registry.yarnpkg.com
• pypi.org
• files.pythonhosted.org
• github.com
• codeload.github.com
• objects.githubusercontent.com
• dl-cdn.alpinelinux.org
• deb.debian.org
• security.debian.org
• proxy.golang.org
• index.crates.io
• static.crates.io
• repo.packagist.org
• packagist.org
• getcomposer.org
• api.github.com
• release-assets.githubusercontent.com
• pecl.php.net
• codeberg.org

Other sites in its pages

Shows pages of these sites in its pages (opens at an address of its own):

You agree to each site on your Personal Cloud, and can remove any or add your own. They keep their own cookies and storage there; the app’s own requests still reach only the hosts it asks for above.

Personal Cloud tools

• Keep a MySQL database of its own on your Personal Cloud ion.mysql

Notifications

It does not send push notifications.

Storage

Up to 1 GB on your Personal Cloud.

Sign-in details your Personal Cloud makes

The Personal Cloud makes a sign-in password for this app when it is installed. Only you can read it, on the app’s Access tab on your Personal Cloud. Oikou never sees it.

• admin-password — The password of BookStack's first administrator account, made when the app was installed

Its address

Works best with its own address. A Personal Cloud shared through Cloudflare can give it one; on a private Personal Cloud on Tailscale it opens under your Personal Cloud’s address, where it may not work fully. Private and shared Personal Clouds

Sign in to add this web app to a Personal Cloud of yours. It runs there, on your own computer, and you open it from there; nothing is installed on your phone.
